I LOVE SOAPNUTS! I love that this tiny bag lasts a year and weighs nothing, and I LOVE explaining to people that somewhere in nature there is a random nut that just plain soap grows out of! How crazy. I'd recommend getting another small cloth bag so you have a few in case you're loading a few things, have something really dirty, or if like me you're lazy and don't want to fish out the bag before throwing things in the dryer. Do not do that. concerned about "don't leave them in the washing machine with clothes after washing" never had a problem with nuts getting dirty. borax, washing soda, sometimes oxyclin). You must try soap nuts. They are literally natural magic. Other plus points: Very cheap, one bag lasts for several years of washing (I probably do 1-2 washes a week) Very light, no longer lugging around heavy detergent jugs) Compostable without plastic! Haven't tried making liquid soap out of it or using it in the dishwasher yet, but I want to!
