Review on ๐Ÿ’ผ High-Quality Replacement Solenoid Valve for Nissan Altima AC Compressor - ACTECmax VCS14EC DCS17EC by Samuel Hansen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I saved $1200 at the shop!

I have done some research and found that this 2014 Nissan Altima and similar air conditioning compressor systems solenoid is a very common source of failure. When it fails, it appears as if the compressor itself has failed, when in fact the only thing that's attached to the compressor is the $40 solenoid. My shop assured me that the compressor was defective and that the replacement cost would be $1,200, including parts and labor. When I asked him if he was 100% sure, he offered to show me his certification papers! In short, I bought this, . I pulled the solenoid out whistling! . (The repair shop reportedly evacuated all freon in their diagnostic facility.) When I pulled the solenoid, very little was leaking. I replaced it with a new block. I went to Walmart and bought a bottle of A/C Pro Freon for $32. and within minutes I had the coldest air conditioner I could dream of! . Complete and 100% air conditioning repair on my 14 Altima SV for less than $80 compared to the $1200 a store would charge. Also note that not all Nissan Altima have a magnet in the compressor. You can tell it's the electrical connector that plugs into the very bottom of the compressor. If your car has one, please check/buy this magnet before buying a new complete compressor! ๐Ÿ‘
