We don't have a septic tank but we have had problems with clogged pipes. We found out that there is a turn off the road where garbage is hard to turn around, so we decided to give it a try. We had a clog once and my husband poured some down the toilet and some down the drain and that seemed to clear the clog. Since then no further problems. We live in a small town with probably an older sewage system, so we'll probably keep using that to avoid further clogs.
