Positively surprised! Reading previous reviews I was afraid we would get a fragile cage that would fall around our ferrets but we have a strong big lock for them. We got the cubs (Kodo and Podo) for free along with a cage too small for two and our local pet stores didn't have anything larger so I turned to Revain. After reading the reviews I realized that some changes would be needed. I made the floor for the top level so her paws wouldn't slip through the bars. I have yet to modify the ramps as they are hard plastic and my ferrets use them to get down but have a hard time getting back up. The first night I left them on the upper level for fear the ramps would get stuck on the lower level. After much inspection by me and big boy Kodo, it is enough to say, to my delight and displeasure, that there is no way for them to escape. PROS: 1) Spacious 2) Doors are large 3) Easy to assemble* 4) The hammock that comes with it is actually a lot nicer than expected - not great, but decent quality. CONS: 1) Hard plastic ramps make it difficult for ferret's small, clumsy feet to maneuver - some fixings required! 2) A grid floor doesn't seem comfortable at all! I temporarily fixed it with a box covered with a fleece blanket. 3) * A very important hole was missing in one of our side panels. I don't know how it happened but we had to drill one to continue the assembly. We would easily give this cage a 5⛤ if it weren't for those things. With very little knowledge and a few basic tools and supplies, this cage makes the perfect new home for our furries! EDIT: I've attached a picture of the "non-slip" material we test on ramps! EDIT UPDATE: The non-slip material worked like a dream! Now they can climb ramps with ease and are easy to clean.
