Great flash for the layman

Bought an entry level Nikon DSLR to shoot my newborn son. I got him about a month after he was born because the built in flash was so sharp I didn't use it but increasing the ISO resulted in noisy shots. I love the frames I get with it. I didn't want to pay double the price for a Nikon flash, so I took a chance and went for the Xit model here. I'm not a photographer, but I like to take decent shots and portraits. Apologies for the lack of experience and misuse of terms. It acts as a commander and can also be launched wirelessly. It eats batteries even when it's off, but there's room in the pocket to store it. Uses TTL grading so I don't have to think about flash settings. The guide is terribly written by someone who probably has never spoken English. I can compare it to the assembly instructions of some furniture: I put a screw in a hole and tightened the screw. In the Flash diagram, the elements are numbered incorrectly and you have to scratch your head. In general I am happy with it. Unbeatable for the price and for the needs of the consumer.
