Review on πŸ”Œ Raspberry Pi Zero PoE Ethernet/USB HUB HAT - 10M/100M RJ45 Ethernet Port, 3x USB 2.0 Ports, 802.3af-Compliant, Power over Ethernet USB HUB Expansion Board for Raspberry Pi Zero W WH by Sarah Salinas

Flat PoGo contacts are difficult to align. The instructions are incomprehensible.

Don't plug anything into the Pi's regular micro-USB connector. The hat steals it for use on the hub below. Ordered as little as possible for the project. The Pi Zero W mating pads are the exact size of the spring pins that connect the hat to the Zero. Unless they are perfectly aligned, no performance will reach zero. The little green light doesn't light up on the Zero. I found the easiest way to fix this is to solder a tiny piece of solder to the corresponding two pads on the Pi. This raises the contact pads slightly and improves contact. The 2 USB pins (the smaller ones) are pointed, but make sure they are properly aligned. There is a small gap between the boards and the screw holes move around a bit. I used tweezers to insert the pins into the center of the pads after screwing everything together. I still have no idea how to get the ethernet port to show up on the Pi. I thought it would happen automatically, but only the USB ports seem to work.
