cm. UPDATE 11/2020 BELOW I haven't had a chance to fully test this slider in the field, but so far I like the features included. As I gain more experience with this slider, I'll update this review, so expect more feature details soon. I'm a big fan of NP-F powered cinema equipment as the batteries are extremely high capacity and relatively cheap compared to V-mount or Gold-mount options. The built-in remote means we don't need a smartphone or other device to control the slider, and the inclusion of control cables makes me think there might be a way to control the cameras from the remote. At this point I can say that the case is fantastic, the design is slim and elegant and the components inside feel high-quality and durable. I notice a few flaws in my video, but they are all extremely minor and easy to work around. I'm curious how smooth the pan function is and what speeds can be achieved with this slider. The price seems a bit high, but I hope that the features of the remote control will justify the price. So far this was a huge step up from a cheaper slider with similar features and has become my favorite motorized slider. I'll be back with updates soon! UPDATE 11/2020OK, it's official. I love this slider. I've used this slider on dozens of gigs, in fact I've been working as a cameraman for PBS all summer, during that time my slider was the main reason I got calls. To be able to run this thing for 8 hours on a NPF970 battery is amazing and I've never had a battery failure. It has withstood 110F direct sunlight in the height of summer, torrential rain and drizzle (I put the electronics in a bag but the water still ran into the transmission), as well as LOTS of abuse and getting in my trunk. Practice to be able to adjust the parallax and a lot of patience to get it perfect. Always allow 15m for setup and final setup simply because adjusting and balancing the two tripods, adjusting the slider, balancing the camera on it and setting the in and out points takes a lot of time. Don't let that discourage you. although this slider. Of all the other motorized options I've tried (some cost over $2,500), this is by far the fastest, easiest, and most efficient setup. It's very smooth and doesn't transmit any vibration to the camera at all. I've also had rigs with him that weigh at least 12 pounds and he never batted an eyelid. Maybe if it were mounted at an angle, but so far I haven't had any problems. I love this product and love GVM! Great experience with them and their gear.
