Review on Yahboom Professional Programming Electronic Compatible by Tom Goodlow

Revainrating 1 out of 5

A devastating review is best in Computers and Accessories

It took several years, but I ended up buying six high-end Yahboom robots. All six are broken in one way or another. All electronic boards failed. I bought two G1 tanks. Each of them ended in a short circuit. The pan and tilt camera is made out of cheap, brittle plastic. Which is odd since the body is aluminum. You are 100% sure to rip it off if you come across anything. The robot is moving too fast for the sensor to work properly. There is no way to slow him down in dodge mode. Both tanks had their sump and embankment cracked during assembly. It's loud and clumsy. The screws keep coming loose. The awful placement of the sensors and camera makes it impossible to use the robot anywhere but a bare square room. Forget outdoor use. The sensors prevent the robot from being pushed. And when it does, you discover that the tracking sensor was faulty or the chassis battery was disconnected. Yahboom offers little or no support. If you contact them with a problem, they will not contact you. Compliment them and respond immediately. I really wanted to love the Yahboom, but after two tanks, two 6 wheel tanks and a Pi AI camera finally failed and they all caught fire or smoke, I realized that Yahboom makes horrible electronics for their robots. The robots themselves are fine because they are made of aluminum and they look stylish. but that's the only thing they do right. Your electronics are poorly made and will most likely catch fire at some point, as will all mine. The position of the sensors is not logical at all. It took me over $1,500 to learn this lesson. Yahboom sucks. I wanted to love them so much and gave them many chances so they ended up with 5 robots that stop working and damage something every time I try to use them. The biggest disappointment. I wonder if they even test anything they sell because unfortunately most of the time it's crap, and I mean really, unfortunately.

Pros
  • Easy Setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
