Review on 15.4" Apple MacBook Pro 15 Mid 2017 2880x1800, Intel Core i7 2.9 GHz, RAM 16 GB, AMD Radeon Pro 560, macOS, MPTV2RU/A, silver by Aneta Pa ᠌

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

In general, the purchase is satisfied. The laptop is powerful and pleases with its capabilities. I took the American version of the silver color. Silver looks MUCH prettier than Space Gray, trust me. Plus an apple shining like a mirror! I do not recommend engraving the keyboard, because. this voids the keyboard warranty. The warranty remains on the rest of the laptop. I type on the machine, so I left the original American keyboard. Got it from gbstore. The sales assistant helped to check the laptop, charging, Wi-Fi, and choose the right adapter. I recommend.

Pros
  • - Faster and thinner than my old MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2022. - Very fast SSD. Blackmagic disk speed test: write 1492 MB/s, read 2316 MB/s. - Cool screen. - Very powerful and deep sound, I was really surprised by this sound. - Quick authorization by Touch ID like on the iPhone - now you do not need to burn your password. - The Touch Bar turned out to be very convenient even for the most common tasks: * now you can smoothly adjust the sound or backlight by simple movements of the slider to the left or right (and not, as before, by fixed divisions); * convenient access to the Siri button (began to use it more often, because now it is always at hand); * you can configure the button to lock the screen (without going to sleep) - it's convenient when you go somewhere, but the program cannot be interrupted; - New trackpad - bigger, quieter and more comfortable. Previously, I had a regular trackpad and it clicked quite loudly when pressed, now this problem is gone. Plus, it has become much more responsive and you need to press much easier. - USB Type-C is a good start for the future. Yes, I had to buy an adapter, but now this is a necessary measure. The potential of USB Type-C + Thunderbolt 3 is very high, so I have no regrets. Plus, now you can charge the laptop from any side! - Much to my surprise, this 15-inch laptop fit into a leather case from a MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2022! Back-to-back, of course, but it fit!
Cons
  • - The keyboard has a different sound (thuds instead of the usual clicking) and, it seems, a little louder. - The esc key is now not in the very left corner, but 1 cm to the right. Although she reacts if you press a little to the left of her, but in the far left corner - no. And now you need to get used to the fact that as soon as you put your finger on esc, it immediately reacts. Previously, you could put your finger on the mechanical esc button (for example, towards the end of the video), and then fully press it. Now she reacts immediately. - Slightly uneven key illumination. Not very noticeable, but there is such a thing at the edges (shift, return, command, delete). - The need to purchase an adapter for other ports. Until all devices have switched to USB Type-C, you will have to pay several thousand for an adapter. Personally, I took deppa with two USB 3.0, one USB Type-C and HDMI - much more useful than from Apple. - Now there is no extension cable for charging and a cloth for the screen - my old MacBook Pro 13 "Mid 2022 had it. - The screen is slightly yellower than my old MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2022. They write on the Internet that it may be glue, which will dry out and disappear over time. We'll see. It doesn't really bother me yet, because I work with code, but not graphics. - No magnetic charging as before. Now a tight USB Type-C connector, which is pulled out with force, because. it is all smooth and thin (almost like on the iPhone).
