Review on Silicone Reusable Nonstick Bakeware Macarons by Ron Coleman

Great Mats Great Price with Photos

Having worked in kitchen retail in the past as both a salesman and a customer, I love good kitchen gadgets. When I was in the industry, the only option (and still a good one) was a French brand known for basically inventing this type of sheet. What made them unique at the time was that unlike most silicone baking pans/mats they had fiberglass threads running through the mats for better heat conduction/baking and also added to the non-stick properties as the mat was then slightly wavy to the threads - better release than just a slick carpet. There are now many silicone mats on the market. This set of 3 Katbite tokens costs $10.98 at the time of review. The set comes in a long box with branding/product information. Safe up to 500 degrees. As advertised, it comes with 2 perfectly sized mats for my rimmed half trays and a small one that fits perfectly with most toaster sized baking trays (see my photos). As mentioned, the fiberglass carving mat works great and the mat easily fits my pans without overpowering. Can be easily stored folded. They are convenient to have on hand and can be used regularly or as an alternative instead of parchment!

Pros
  • MULTIFUNCTIONAL SET: 3 packs of silicone baking mats, 2 packs of half-sheet mats (11 5/8" x 16 1/2") and 1 pack of quarter-size cooking mats (11 1/2" x 8 1/2"). Let the food heat evenly, without uneven browning, without residual odor.
Cons
  • I don't really have bad feelings about it, it's just good
