I love this book! The physical structure is excellent - it folds flat so you can work through the instructions without having to use a third hand to hold the pages. The packaging is also very good. The instructions for the shawl etc have a tutorial page where you can find help on the stitch you have entered. Stitching is easy, with good instructions and photos. When I looked at the book, I immediately had to go and find some of the unusual yarns, such as ladder yarn and ribbon yarn. This is a great book for creating knitted gifts that everyone will love. It's perfect for a newbie like me. Simple stitches and great yarn make for great scarves.
