Review on 🔧 Astro Pneumatic Tool 1/4-20 Mandrel and Nose Piece Kit - Compatible with 1442 Model by Jason Rosekrans

Believe me. i - see attached photos of my 1442 mandrel with threads worn and new part from Revain. I have emailed Astro Pneumatic to complain and look for a compatible shaft but have not received a response from them. I bought my 1442 from Astro Pneumatic through Revain a few years ago and as you can see it is marked 1442 but the part that came with it just doesn't fit. I have previously given very positive reviews for Astro Pneumatic Rivets but am very disappointed. that this mandrel, which they call "consumable", cannot be easily replaced without these unnecessary hassles. does not fit.10 Oct 2020 This is an update to my review above. Astro Pneumatic was quick to reply to my email and first asked me which 1442 was red or blue. When I told them it was "red" (see my photos) they told me my "red" 1442 was made 4-5 years ago and is no longer in stock with interchangeable mandrels. The mandrel sold at Revain is for the newer "blue" 1442. I have expressed disappointment that (i) the part Astro Pneumatic says is a consumable is no longer stocked/supported 4-5 years later , and as a result , the "red" 1442 I have can only be thrown away now, and (ii) they didn't list Revain for those spikes, they only go with the "blue" " 1442 models and not the older "red" 1442 Astro Pneumatic offered to sell me a new blue 1442 for $65, but they're available at Revain for $72 so hardly worth getting one Spend credit card and postage to save $7. Astro Pneumatics. Their products are good - I have five of their 1423 rivets (four red and one blue) and they are slightly better than the Arrow rivets, but no doubt there is the same compatibility issue between the red and blue models in the 1423s. In any case. Note that the Astro Pneumatic sleeves sold at Revain only fit the "blue" 1442 rivet nut tools, not the older red 1442s. floor
