Like other reviewers, I was very disappointed that this product failed to connect to HomeKit. After all, it's one of the few smart plugs that support HomeKit, so you'd think they'd make it work. To be fair this is the second batch of these candles I have purchased. I had no problem adding the first batch to HomeKit. Everything worked correctly. However, that was some time ago and iOS was updated and since then there have been several firmware updates in the outlets. My guess is that there is now an incompatibility that has not been fixed. The crazy part is that in order to update the firmware, you have to add the plugin to HomeKit first! So if there is a bug in the firmware that is preventing the connection then there doesn't seem to be a way to update the firmware to fix the problem. Very poorly thought out design. What happens when you try to add it to HomeKit is that you first scan the code, plug the phone into the socket, some information seems to update because the plug resets, but then everything stops. I believe the socket isn't updating properly because you can see it's not connecting to the home wifi network. After the update, it still shows its configured network and the LED continues to flash green and yellow. Whatever happened and what didn't, I must have tried 15 times to connect to two outlets and neither of them would connect. I restarted them, made sure my 5GHz network was off, restarted my phone, tried a different device, disabled HomeKit on the router, etc. That's a lot of troubleshooting work for something that should be up and running right out of the box. I finally contacted support and haven't heard a response yet. The support seems to be email only, which means I'm constantly being asked to do things I've already tried. It's not worth the trouble. These return.
