Bought mainly because of the great reviews on ilounge and other sites. Unfortunately, I'm not impressed with the G-Boom's cleanliness, bass, or performance. While it sounds pretty good considering its price, I don't think the performance lives up to the reviews. After studying it, I realized that there is a good reason for this. The G-Boom currently for sale is not the same G-Boom that got all the great reviews a few years ago! It has the same look, name, and features, but the sound quality has deteriorated. The original version had 2 tweeters, this one has only 1 tweeter so no stereo separation 😯. And while there are no specs to compare amps or drivers between the original and current versions, I suspect one or both have been compromised as well. It's entirely possible that G-Project had to cut some corners to keep the $99 price point. The price is very bad because I would do it and I think many others would also be willing to pay a little more to get the performance that was built in to the original! Got it back, went with Nyne Bass and I'm a happy rocker!
