California vehicles require both front and rear license plates. A thief tried to steal my front panel. I figured my front panel would be attached with a magnet while driving and I could just remove the panel when parking. Unfortunately these magnets are not N52 certified and cannot hold the plate in the steel frame. like my strong earth magnets! I securely attached a small flat steel bar to the front bumper and now it's enough to hold my plate! These magnets are rubberized to protect painted surfaces from scratches, but this is for temporary use only. It seems to be working for me!
