Reversed measurement for me!

Bought this instrument after watching several demos posted on YouTube. It seems really easy to use, but my weakness scores are actually upside down. back to the shank but both are identical on me and both are upside down compared to the exact same tool I saw on youtube. The measurement options were different on the instrument, which looked like this verse the instrument sent me. I ended up using a measuring ruler to set the bike chain. This tool did not convince me.
