I have a laptop with only built in 2.4GHz WiFi, I wanted to upgrade to 5GHz, this little product fixed it without upgrading the computer have to. You just plug it into a USB port (3.0 is better but works with 2.0 too), then go to network settings, add a 5.0GHz network and you're done. That's easy! Note that you need a router that supports both 2.4 and 5.0. You can plug it directly into your computer, or purchase an extension cable (sold separately) if you don't want it getting in the way. It's easy to switch from one computer to another or just buy 2 or 3 etc as the price is only $25. Also, you can easily switch from 2.4 to 5.0 with one click and use both signals at the same time. I use 5.0 for gaming to stream my Xbox One to my computer and 2.4 for normal web browsing. No problems so far, great product. 5 Stars!
