It's not so good. The signal keeps changing and I'm close.

Not so good after 3 months of use. The signal is constantly fluctuating and I'm about 7 feet from my router. I'm fed up with my other old wifi adapter and it works fine (just no 5G) and I've also tried another computer but it still doesn't work as it should.

Works on Linux! in network adapters

Stop what other people (including the seller) are saying. I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 and it quite simply works for me, as do people using other distros. Just search for "rtl8812bu linux driver" and download the driver from github. Follow the instructions to compile the driver (there is also a thread on the Ubuntu forums for this). Buy it if you use Linux, it works.

I gave four stars. I have Windows 8.1 and the software doesn't work well with Windows Wireless Network Manager (bottom right on startup). If you have problems with your wireless USB device, close the software that came with it. Someone said that the problem is in the Windows WIFI program. I found it the other way around. Simple solution for non 5GHz computers

I have a laptop with only built in 2.4GHz WiFi, I wanted to upgrade to 5GHz, this little product fixed it without upgrading the computer have to. You just plug it into a USB port (3.0 is better but works with 2.0 too), then go to network settings, add a 5.0GHz network and you're done. That's easy! The perfect wireless USB dongle for all your needs!

I work in tech so I can confirm this is a great little wireless dongle! I particularly like the screw-on antenna on the back as it works in both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. And it's USB 3.0 too, so you'll get the fastest speeds anywhere. Installation was easy - just insert the installation CD, run the installer and plug in the dongle!
