I already had a flashlight, but I wanted something to charge my phone - Samsung Galaxy Note 1. So I'm afraid that the device will fail horribly. The manual says 7 minutes scrolling == 5 minutes talking. Even spinning like a madman, with the phone off, I couldn't get enough battery power to boot up the device and stay awake. There is a way to make the USB cable just for charging to increase the power output. If you know about electronics, check this out on YouTube. A few holds will give you about 30 minutes of light, enough for navigation. 1 minute start will probably give you 5-10 minutes of low volume radio. In short, this is a cheap device, the flashlight works, the radio works, the radio works. Cell phone charger not working. If that's your main purpose I wouldn't buy it.
