After buying 2 different calipers for a week I almost gave up. Then I decided to try again. I watched videos, read reviews and decided to try this iGaging caliper. I am a retired engineer with broad and diverse interests. Currently it's woodworking but I can't help but take apart my gear and make it like new. Bought a calibrated set of dowel rods that mechanics use. Using the set as a reference, I tested the brake caliper. And it's gone. I have to be honest. I waited a full 2 weeks before even opening the box and putting the battery in. After 2 failures I didn't want a third. So do yourself a favor and get this model. This is correct and judging by the numerous reviews they have been serving for years. It's on my desktop, I've been using it for 2 days and I'm glad it wasn't glitch number 3. Good luck in your endeavors.
