Good build quality on accessories and consumables
My testing was done with a surveillance camera, not a production quality camera, so I can't comment on higher resolution and frame rate modes. For me it just works or doesn't work (with old non-SDI analog hardware). A metal box can withstand some of the inconveniences of being moved around a cabinet suspended from cables, but it's also easy to mount in a rack. If no SDI signal is present, the output will be disabled instead of giving an error signal. In short, a simple adapter with good build quality.
