As expected from the ad. I haven't convinced my cats to let me brush my teeth yet, so I can't say if this toothbrush is better or worse than the others. They love to have their fingers rubbed across their faces, which is a good first step. I was afraid it would smell like rubber, but it doesn't smell. Maybe I'll update that once we get to the toothbrush and paste. Update: well after a few weeks they still won't let me do more than a few quick kicks in the teeth. Although they love it when their faces are cleaned! Our cats don't wash each other, so I guess the areas they can't lick themselves (the neck, around the eyes, around the ears) crave the feel of that furry cat tongue. We're all really enjoying these new self-care sessions. The toe cover accessory is very tough, and we have a cat who almost needed surgery last year after discreetly swallowing a chunk of silicone from a visitor's phone case and seriously shut up. I'm afraid he'll eat this device too if I let him. I can't even use it on him, or he just keeps nibbling on it (and not gently, since I could secretly clean his mouth a bit - violently, it would prick my finger if I didn't repel him quickly). So if you buy this or anything similar, PLEASE never leave it unattended. Keep it in a safe box. Put things in your bag while using another toothbrush instead of putting them next to you. It only takes a few seconds for a pet to eat something like this. You might think your cat doesn't chew, but neither did ours for 8 years until the Otter Box piece surfaced and his apparent interest in the tool. Better to be on the safe side! I still hope to eventually get into dental care, but even if all we ever do with this set is facials, I feel like it was money well spent. My furry ones just light up when they see me taking it!
