After doing a little research on the fast 35mm lens I was keen to try this lens. I wanted to save some money and didn't mind the cosmetic issues and ordered a used one from Revain stock. The lens I received does not focus properly, gets stuck at infinity and makes a faint crackle when in AF-C mode. When stuck at infinity, it made a clicking sound every time the shutter button was half-pressed. I managed to get some critical shots, flipping the focus ring to almost snap it out of infinity after noticing the camera forcibly returning the lens to its original position. 1m focal length when it was taken off the camera but the next day the iris stayed open and my camera became blocked and I have not been able to close it since. The lens is optically very good and well focused when not possessed, but this lens appears to have extreme sample variations ranging from comparable to the Sigma 35mm f1.4 ART to the slightest inoperability. It was the last. If you want to play the lottery to get a good lens, reviewers have mentioned that 1 out of 4 of these are really good and no one knows how long they will last.
