Review on Loctite Heavy Duty Threadlocker, Blue 242, 0.2 oz – Single Pack by Ryan Williams

Obviously you can see from other reviews that this stuff does the job very well. But these new lamps are terrible. There used to be a "poker" in the caps that barely opened the tube and allowed you to use anything. The tube I received does not have this. No problem, I'll just poke a hole. Oh no. Obviously the cavity doesn't reach almost to the end of the tip, so the button and push pin just don't get inside. When I switched to a knife, after 4 or 5 small cuts to remove the last material, it literally exploded and I lost a quarter of the bottle. I should have thought more about it or been more patient, but I wanted to complete my project and didn't expect to have to mess with Loctite. In the future I'll probably just take a needle and poke a hole in the side of the tube from the tip down. This may end up releasing more than I'd like, but it saves the hassle. TL; DR - The lid does not have a self-opening function. Be patient when you open the nail or knife or it will explode.
