I had a couple of issues getting in my way: 1) There is no obvious way to assign static IP addresses to some devices. This becomes a problem with network printers as they get new addresses assigned every few days and I have to edit their properties on every computer I want to print from. 2) There is no obvious way to update/download the firmware. Most manufacturers already have updates for KRACK. On this model, there is no way to download the firmware from the TP-Link site, and there is no "Update" button anywhere on the modem administrator's site. 3) There is no way to configure the firewall. You have 4 options: Disabled, Low, Medium and High, each with a pre-installed list of apps and ports. Vonage isn't listed so the moment I turn on the firewall the phone stops working even on the lowest settings. It's possible to enter an IP address into the DMZ, but then I'm back to #1 - the day the IPs are updated, the Vonage device is no longer at that IP address. I'm honestly surprised by the many positive reviews. People just plug it in and don't change anything, or I'm missing something.
