Works well when dogs are properly acclimated

I bought a size 2 for my 37lb Aussie/Sheltie mix. It cannot walk on a collar because the trachea is damaged (also, collars are generally not suitable). the safest way to walk your dog). He hates being walked around in harnesses and backs away when I take out most of his harnesses. However, he enjoys being shown around in his halti. He willingly sticks his nose in her when it's time to go. He's not a very strong tractor, but he walks along Halti very nicely and politely. I chose it over other options because it provides extra security by attaching a halter to the collar. It doesn't add resistance to Halti, just security. I used three steps to help him get used to the halter: 1. Fasten just the neck strap and let the nose loop hang down. Walk him as usual (on a harness) for 2-3 days.2. Fasten the neck strap and put on the nose loop. Leave the leash attached to the harness. Let him wear the nose loop for a few minutes and then remove it. Within 2-3 days, get him to wear a nose loop (without a leash tied to it) throughout the walk. Use Halti with a leash for a few minutes and turn it off - alternate between using Halti and the original walking method. Within 2-3 days, continue using halti throughout the walk. This method worked very well for my dog, although there are other methods that work just as well. The halter appears to be very durable and I am pleased with the added security of the collar closure. This was important to me as my dog has a long thin nose which has in the past allowed him to slip out of the collar - definitely something to be aware of for those with thin noses. He can hardly breathe in it. quite good, so it gets a little baggy when walking, but dries up quickly. I haven't noticed any hair loss on his nose, but he wants a good facial massage after every walk. with one of them to avoid injuries and riots. However, for dogs who hate harnesses and owners who avoid collars, this is a good choice.
