I felt compelled to write a review in response to some discouragingly low reviews.This product is amazingly effective.All I have to say to those who found this product ineffective is that there is no such thing as a "magic cure" for dogs "Remedies" for people (studies show that antidepressants and anti-anxiety drugs are most effective when combined with therapy) Behavioral states can fluctuate depending on factors such as stimulation or discomfort Problems require hard, constant work and patience I'm more likely to exercise in combination than instead of tools like Calm Shen. With my large pit bull, I think it took less than a week or two for the effects to kick in. But maybe some dogs handle it differently. I had my dog on Prozac and it works just as well and dare I say maybe even better than Prozac. I gave her both for a while, and as I increased her boxing practice and added other behavioral exercises, I stopped Prozac altogether. This is a cheaper version of the tablet form and we've used both.
