Jagged Plastic Hair Driftwood

They all look the same when listed so I went with this one as it was the cheapest. Bad move? May be. There were seams of torn plastic tangling my hair. The "arms" weren't perfectly aligned, so there were weird gaps in the vents where my hair got stuck and ended up losing a few strands. I then took a nail file and used the rough side, which I never use on nails, to "sand" the rough edges off the seam and around the holes. I had to keep sanding because I checked, felt the snagged area, and then sanded again. When I was done everything was sanded and looked awful. Now it can't be returned! I used it once, it didn't snag or break all my hair and it really worked. Heat came from the "fingertips" and my roots were dried and the rest of my hair was allowed to air dry in all its pristine curl beauty. But it was still a bit notchy and I was just too tired to sand this thing because it took way longer than it should have, which honestly shouldn't have been done at all! If I had to do it over and over again I would just buy the branded light green which is double (maybe more?) the price of this one and not waste time polishing this thing.
