great inspiration and creative pleasure, high quality paper

This is an interesting sketchbook/drawing tips. My goal this year was to learn to draw "properly" - not necessarily technically perfect or anything, but to learn enough drawing basics that I didn't necessarily feel stopped while sketching for fear of drawing. another amorphous spot or figure. I work almost exclusively abstractly and want to develop a bit of visual vocabulary with some common motifs and have avoided including images in my work for years because I just don't think I'm very good at drawing. .As I study I look for more books that set goals without lots of detailed examples just to keep things free and creative and still give me a specific example of what to aim for. But a lot of these books are printed on lousy stock printing paper (or worse), so finding a book that had clues AND good, thick, magazine-bound paper was very intriguing. This is a great magazine with very thick mixed paper. . I was really impressed with the quality of the paper, honestly you get a lot of "just draw on the pages of this book!" releases these days, but almost all of them come with cheap, lousy paper. This is a thick, bright white paper that can be used on many media. The clues are pretty vague, which is good or bad depending on what you're looking for, and I love that the clues are haphazardly scrawled and sometimes fuzzy scribbles. Page because that means the page is already "used" in a sense and I'm not afraid to screw it up. This is just a fun book that encourages you to draw. And when you're done, it will serve as a reminder of your journey through these drawings. I'm looking forward to going back and turning each of the drawings into fully realized works of art - the paper is definitely strong enough for acrylic and ink (though not too watery) and to create the voluminous, textured, colorful mixed media art magazine from this book.
