I have a pair of stabilized Canons that I have owned for about 15 years and need another pair for my boat. So I thought it takes time to improve and I would try another brand. Also, Canon eats batteries, so let's try something different. no Not correct. Poorly. Stupid. They are much more than canon. Very bulky and uncomfortable in the hand, they are much heavier. And when you jam the gyroscope, it doesn't just jam, it jumps somewhere and then back to where it was, but not on it. So you have to go back to what you were looking at. And in most cases, if not always, the picture will drift a little in a random direction, and all you have to do is wait and then return to the goal. and hope he doesn't walk around with a little tremor again. The picture is sharp and clear, but that's a requirement and is overridden by other issues that I hate. So do yourself a favor, spend a few bucks more on a vastly superior Canon and don't make the mistake I'll never make again. And no, I receive no compensation and do not communicate with Canon at all. I like their stabilized binoculars, apart from the big battery drain issue. UPDATE: After about a month it got a lot worse. Now it's completely useless because when I want a lock it jumps far, gets blocked, gets blocked somewhere else and so on before stopping at some random spot. And they increased the price by over $200? Too bad, buy a cannon instead and you'll be happier!
