Review on Reusable Vertuoline Coffee Capsule Refillable Pod Compatible With Nespresso GCA1 And Delonghi ENV135 - Not For VERTUO NEXT (8Oz-Coffee Cup) by Loren Rindfleisch

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good flavor, tough price

If you tamp your grounds, this pod makes better espresso than the pods because you can use good coffee instead of the stuff that Nestle sweeps off the floor for their pods. The pod works flawlessly and makes very good coffee. The difficulty is the cleaning. First, when the pod is done, it's scalding hot as you'd expect so you have to fish it out of the built in trash bin. I can work with that. Now when you have to clean it, you either need to burn yourself trying to clean the hot pod (even picking up to wash with cool water is tough bare handed) or wait for it to cool down. Waiting for it to cool wouldn't be a big deal if you could reasonably buy 2-4 packs of these and alternate them, but the price is too high to really justify it. Taking the capsule apart is hard even once cooled, so they aren't quite convenient enough to justify the high price tag. These work well, but they take a lot of work to use and maintain.
