Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Enhanced Performance: MOOG RK620040 Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly by Justin Pavelko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These MOOG wishbones are the answer!

We owned six Mazda 5 station wagons/vans. This is a very affordable all rounder that was also available with a manual gearbox. This front knocking seems to have been an issue on all the pre 2012 models I've had. This is the Achilles heel of this car! I have just (1-2020) replaced both wishbones for 2009 with 130k. This vehicle failed inspection due to front wheel play. It turned out that the ball joint was worn out and the wishbone bushing was worn out. PROBLEM SOLVED after installing MOOG replacement. Noise is gone, inspection is great, smooth ride. I have now bought a second set of these MOOG arms for another 2009 Mazda5 that we have for 155k. The front tires on this car wear unevenly. Not sure if it's the same worn part or bad driving habits that are causing problems with this car. In front it knocks and knocks. I'll swap parts next week. I will update the review with the results. See photos of the old and new control levers I've added for comparison.
