Get the right level of filter, which can be a lower number, to get the most out of your oven.
An important note that I have long ignored: the denser your filter mesh, the more difficult it is to force air through, so your stove may not be operating at full capacity. I bought this lower Merv rating - still an 8! - and my oven runs more quietly and so far the efficiency has been noticeable in the fact that it doesn't always run. I don't have dust either, so I think while I'd like to capture pollen and micron-sized particles, if my stove works better, I'll get better air. I bought standalone filter machines to store small items in my rooms.
