Review on πŸ§‚ Rachael Ray 2-Piece Acacia Salt and Pepper Grinder Set: Efficient Tools and Gadgets for Superior Seasoning by Daniel Mandal

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very nice - good quality - not a big tank - recommended

These are very good salt and pepper grinders. If you've even come this far to explore them, I'd say just buy them! We got ours from Cooking.com through Revain (due to free shipping which isn't offered on Cooking.com) although I now see another seller (Wayfair) on Revain. As of today, Cooking.com is ordering again and indicates a high demand. A salt mill won't give you light "dust" salt - it's not that good, but for coarse sea salt, baked potato seasoning is perfect. . They look just as beautiful on the table as in the picture. They do NOT have the words "Rachel Ray" printed on the wood as shown in the picture. The "window" of each block is actually an acrylic tube that sits in the center of the mill and acts as a reservoir. It's pretty durable. The only downside I would say is that you can't put a TON of material on each grinder. If you have a large family and use a lot of salt and pepper, you may find that you have to refill them more often than you would like. Highly recommended. EDIT (2015-Aug-12): I'll add that I'm taking my original rating down a start because, as others have learned, the piece of metal that transmits power from the top handle to the mill shaft fell off the wooden handle after about a year on pepper mill we use more than salt.pls see the photo i uploaded. Here's what I did: 1) Push the stop plate into the wooden handle. I used an arbor press, but either a socket or a vise will do. 2) Drill three 3/32" holes in the board and wood to a depth of about 3/8". 3) Install wood screws with a small head. I used screws commonly used to attach servos to RC airplanes.
