Review on 🔥 Rinnai FC824P: Powerful Propane Gas Space Heater with Fan Convector by Patricia Mendoza

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Powerful, quiet, easy to install (even at high altitude)

air diffuser. They work great in areas of your home that are difficult to heat or even in a large room with lots of windows that needs extra heat. My usage is this: This heater is the main heater in a room about 20ft by 20ft, with a wall mostly glass, and the house is in the mountains at 6,600ft. Installation was very easy. I was a little apprehensive reading the instructions and there were all sorts of warnings not to mount the unit at high altitude (I don't think they mounted above 5000ft). There was even a complicated pressure setting you had to make, many after trying to access the pane to do this (and not even getting access) I decided to just plug it in and see how it works. I have 2 other direct vented units (a 200k water heater and a 100k Reznor garage heater) and both had to be modified to run on 6600 so I was concerned that this heater might fail. It turned out to work like a top with no modifications. Aha! And I worked pretty hard with him for about 2 months and it was great. BTW I'm super paranoid about carbon monoxide (CO) and have several CO monitors in my house and they are all silent. This thing ejects a huge amount of air (that's good!) at low speed as needed. It periodically circulates air even when it has reached the set thermostat temperature. Mine also seems to keep the air 2 degrees above set point (shows/keeps room temperature at 68 if you set it to 66). I thought it was a mistake but now I don't care. It's very quiet for the amount of air it moves. There is a buzzing sound (it takes a little getting used to, but it's ok) for about 2 seconds when the flame ignites. If they could find a way to make it quieter damn it that would be perfect! As for concerns about lack of ventilation, I'd say the device hits the spot at least in my type of application (mountains, dry environment, house, built in 1977). Well done Rinnai.
