Review on 363 Frogger Micro Arcade by Eric Broad

Good, but could be better

Bad:* The screen resolution is too low and looks blurry, the gameplay is a bit choppy.* The screen doesn't look nearly as good as the product images Web give a misleading impression. *I won't discount it for its very basic sound as it pretty much matches the Arduboy it's based on and I wasn't expecting anything like an arcade version). * Your high score will NOT be saved after the device is turned off. * No option to pause or pause the game. * The ghost behavior is definitely NOT the same as in a real arcade game. Pros: The lithium battery makes this thing last almost forever. I have no idea how long you can play this game before it dies. It also charges quickly.* There's a very cool factor to it in that it's so small it hasn't dried up on me yet.* I like to play little gaps here and there and take a picture of the screen with my phone to see mine save score . It's a lot more interesting than I originally thought.* The size of the device makes it truly portable - small enough to toss in a bag and forget about. You have something to play with after your phone runs out of power and you've exhausted all other distractions. It will be perfect when you are stuck in the waiting room or lost in the woods. Other thoughts: I bet the Centipede/Pong/Space Invaders versions will make better use of the tiny screen. At least I hope so. According to the booklet that came with this device, Ms. Pac-Mann. I REALLY REALLY hope this device has a little more horsepower and a better screen. It's worth $20 in my opinion hence 3 stars. Thing is, if this thing was vertically oriented, had decent sound, a flat joystick like the 3DS, and a nice big OLED screen with real Pac-Man arcade firmware, I'd pay a lot more. This could be the blueprint for the perfect Pac-Man wearable device.
