Review on Unscented Downy Wrinkleguard Liquid Fabric Conditioner, Wrinkle Guard Bottles, 48 Fl Oz, Pack of 2 by Zack Higgins

Disappointing for a number of reasons. #1) The weird transparent measuring cap (which is hard to hold if you have arthritis like this reviewer) is designed to force the user to use more than the regular unscented Downy fabric softener (our usual brand). Also, the graduations inside the cap for pouring out the correct "dose" are difficult to see. Downy's regular unscented fabric softener has a much better measuring cap, why does this product end up with such a poorly designed cap? #2) This product leaves a thick layer on the bottom of the automatic dispenser. This is with the warm water flush setting; It would probably be worse with cold water. All this unused residue is wasteful and must be removed from the dispenser after every 5-10 loads. Why does this product leave so many traces? How much thick residue is left at the bottom of the bottle when it's empty? #3) After washing some Hanes cotton t-shirts (price conscious, inferior quality) (using the usual dosage of this product) the results in terms of wrinkle reduction were less than outstanding. The teas were dried in a gas dryer at low temperature for 10-15 minutes (until partially dry) and then hung on a plastic hanger. They had more wrinkles compared to using regular unflavored Downy. It was an eye judgment, which of course is completely unscientific. #4) As this is just a test of how this product affects materials, the towels were washed with the usual dose of this product. At first, after drying these towels in a gas dryer at a normal high temperature, it was difficult to get the towels wet because the water just dripped off. Should it happen? Proper scientific review of this product must be conducted by a specific reputable consumer magazine to prove that the conclusions of that reviewer are typical. Please note that this is just a single user review that had disappointing results. You may find this product fantastic, so keep an open mind when deciding whether or not to try this product.
