I have tried many different types of self-adhesive felt pads, rubber pads etc to replace the hard plastic on the bottom of the chair legs and these are by far the best! Felt pads collect dust, hair and dirt and wear out quickly. I've tried soft rubber pads and they tend to stick to the bottom and come off. I looked and found these 1 1/8" self-adhesive pads. At first I thought they might be too slippery for a chair, but that turned out to be no problem. These non-slip sliders work great moving chair or when someone gets up from a seated position I've used them on bar stools with thin metal legs and stools with wooden legs, and the self-adhesive pads "stick" and stay in place - none come loose (like felt pads). also do a very good job of minimizing noise when the chair slides and doesn't leave a mark on the floor.
