These shoes looked great online. They are well built but I couldn't put them on my 2 year old. He's still a size 6 and I've bought a size 6.5 for the next few days. The shoes had a Velcro closure and elastic laces (non-removable) on the upper. The clasp goes into the slot at the other end and has a thicker end so it doesn't come out of the slot. This limits how wide you can open it. The elastic laces are very tight and not easy to adjust. This allows you to open the shoes for easy dressing. My son's foot only went in half because the toe was too thin. There is also no pull tab to pull at the end. The product is not designed for children's feet. Probably good for older children. I really liked the design
