These shoes looked great online. They are well built but I couldn't put them on my 2 year old. He's still a size 6 and I've bought a size 6.5 for the next few days. The shoes had a Velcro closure and elastic laces (non-removable) on the upper. The clasp goes into the slot at the other end and has a thicker end so it doesn't come out of the slot. Ordered a half size up on recommendation from Stride Rite and we've had no problems getting the size or being able to wear these shoes.
