but I find it tears very easily on more complex patterns

I bought this paper to teach the kids some easy origami patterns in class. I think it will work for what I have in mind, but I've found it to tear very easily on more complex patterns. Didn't detect a strong plastic smell, but the plastic packaging was a little torn when it arrived. The paints have not been separated into individual bags, they are just one big stack of paper. Blue, green, and yellow paper are nice and bright, while orange and red are a bit dull.
