This works better than standard cheap plastic water bottles as the chicks aren't getting shavings in the water all the time but once they reach 1 a week some time ago the Big Flat Top became the king of the hill game. I couldn't hold them so they pooped in the water or sideways so the poop dripped into the water. It needs a rounder or smaller top, or it needs to be higher so they can't jump on it as easily. I ended up not using it because I couldn't keep the water clean. And then they used it to jump out of the incubator. I don't know why, but normal drinkers are tall enough and thin enough that they don't jump over the top, so I went back to that.
