Are the batteries battered and damaged, but still in the original packaging?
Yes they are energizers and yes the date printed is 12-2027 but I have never received a product this battered and battered but still in the original packaging. Looks like they drove thousands of miles in a metal tool box. In fact, the plating layer of the battery is hit and worn away. Some of the positive terminals are pinched almost flush with the top of the battery, see photos. This is totally unacceptable and I have no idea how they got to this level of wear on new batteries.
