My old large Kenmore was 15 years old, and registered a high RF output on a Safe & Sound meter. I had to move away 18' to get it to drop from 10,000 to 1000 while it was running, still in the red zone, and a full 30' away before it dropped to amber 100 on the meter. I am hyper-electro-sensitive and being in the kitchen could trigger a seizure. So it was constant turn it on then leave in a big hurry til it turned off. It's taking twice as long to cook anything in this 700 Sharp, but it's worth it to have the RF down to 1000 standing within a few feet of it. That drops to 100 when I get 15' or so away from it. It's hard to remember to push "time cook" before the seconds or minutes I'm used to , so it keeps starting with the instant-on minutes as soon as I push a number, and I have to shut it off, then try again. The old one I punched the numbers first, then Start. It's just been a few days so I know I'll eventually get used to it :=) It's a monumental relief to know it's going to be so much safer to use.
