Definitely helps keep the battery high
I don't really need this as I have an AGM battery but thought it would help charge the AGM battery faster when going low , play loud bass. So I did a test with and without it connected. No it wasn't much but enough that in some songs when the bass note is long the capacitor immediately recharges that space whereas it would take around 8-10 seconds to recharge the same amount of battery.
