The resolution is good enough for gaming and the text is easy to read, so good for work too. The picture could be brighter but it works well enough. It's certainly not too dark, but I've got it maxed. It has all the ports and settings you need for great gaming, and 165Hz is more than enough for most games with today's graphics cards. My biggest gripe is with the control knob. It's hard to navigate, but it doesn't matter once you've installed it. The stand is really stable and easy to adjust. There's nothing that really scares me, but my only complaint about it is the control knob. If you're building the ultimate future-proof slots game, this probably isn't for you. If you're looking for a monitor that offers everything the average person needs to play and work at a good price, then this is a solid choice.
