Review on Scion TC Rear Hatch Trunk Liftgate Lift Supports Struts Shocks 4597, SG329031 - Pack of 2, 2005-2010 by Chris Walker

My old pannier racks were a bit difficult to take off but these new ones were pretty easy to put on. My old ones suddenly stopped working and I had to open the trunk manually. It's not easy when you're trying to load your trunk with groceries lol. The new ones are very strong. The hatch is raised without problems. As others have commented, they shake the car a bit if you don't open the trunk, but it doesn't damage the car (as far as I know). Over time they will certainly loosen up and become "more normal". This also helps with closing the hatch as they also use a lot of force to hold it open. It's not a problem for me and I'm happy with the very cheap replacement cost, just my honest feedback on the performance.
