I bought these for a camper van. In addition to the socket pictured, the kit also includes a DC jack with a straight cable. Sound quality is decent when they're in the case (like all speakers, they need a box!) and actually better than I expected. Bluetooth connects instantly and enters pairing mode every time, making it easy to connect multiple devices in a snap. The latency is very low and you can use it to watch videos without losing sync! It was a pleasant surprise! A few cons: Shutdown occurs about 3-4 seconds after turning off, but the sound stops playing. It should shut down immediately. When connecting Bluetooth for the first time, there is a small strange noise in addition to the normal beep. Sometimes my phone goes to full volume when I plug it in! Ouch! Although it may be an issue with my phone, not the device.
