I originally purchased a DoHonest V25 system for my large work truck. I was impressed with the ease of installation and their customer service as most companies don't have them these days. Being able to see behind you when backing up a big truck without hesitation gives you peace of mind. I have decided to buy a V29 system for my Ford Excursion. This system features a 7" screen and camera mount compared to the V25's 5" screen and double-sided camera tape. While I was initially impressed with the 5 inch model, I was blown away by the 7 inch model. I attached the camera mount with license plate screws and used an old trailer wire harness to connect it to the trailer wire connector on my truck. This harness has power when you turn on the lights, brake, use the turn signal, etc. There is also a ground. I found a ground wire and used it with the headlights on to power the camera, bam! The camera is connected and, if necessary, simply disconnected again. No need to crawl under the car to find and connect to the factory wiring harness. I just have to turn on the headlights and the camera starts working. Of course, the monitor is as easy as peeling a pear - just plug it into the cigarette lighter and press the red button. Everything was set from the factory and the picture was excellent. Overall, this is a very simple and effective solution, and I highly recommend DoHonest's V29 version.
