When I first bought this dash mount it lasted a year and a half with no problems. Over time, in South Florida, the base's flexible floor began to separate from the plastic base. I ordered a replacement and within a week the base didn't stick to the surface of the dashboard for more than a few minutes and fell off. I ordered another one and the same result. I contacted the company and they sent a replacement. The exchange takes no more than a few minutes, sometimes as little as two minutes. What's dangerous about it is that it falls off the dashboard without warning while driving, sometimes in a corner with a block on the driver's floor along with your phone. It was an absolutely amazing first product. But obviously there are changes in the production of the product and this is actually a very unsafe item to use until it is fixed. Three devices with poor performance in a row after 1.5 years, when does the old device work properly? This mount will only work when attached to a window. The new version of this product has lost the ability to hold on to anything other than glass.
